Parliament launches direct online appeals to deputies of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb. 7, 2018 / Kabar /. In order to increase the accountability and transparency of the legislative branch, a new instrument of direct online communication with the Parliamant deputies has been introduced on the official website of the Parliament.

In connection with this, the presentation of the updated website was held today. Deputies of the Parliament Altynai Omurbekova, Aida Kasymalieva, Ryskeldi Mombekov, Akylbek Jamangulov, representatives of the Parliament’s press service, developers of the site took part in the event, the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh.

Head of the Press Service Ibraim Nurakun uulu said that as a result of technical innovations, the personal page of each deputy now contains complete information about the activities of parliamentarians - information on initiated bills, speeches of deputies, video and photo materials and their publications in the media.

"It is extremely important to introduce the direct connection with the deputy through an online appeal, which will increase the transparency of the activities of parliamentarians and their openness to the public," Ibrahim Nurakun uulu stressed.

Whereas, the deputies expressed their gratitude to the staff of the Parliament and the developers of this site. "These innovations will allow voters to directly contact parliamentarians and send their appeals bypassing bureaucratic procedures," Ryskeldi Mombekov said.

Deputy Altynay Omurbekova specified the need of introducing the practice of using such technical tools as an online conference and voice online messages as well.
