Mudslide in Batken leaves 3 villages without electricity

Bishkek, May 14, 2018 / Kabar /. The waters in Shorbulak channel were out as a result of heavy rains in Leilek region of Batken oblast and mudflow flooded 4 residential objects and left residents of three villages without electricity.

According to data of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the accident took place in evening, and at the moment, the work is underway to eliminate the flooding.

The family and children's boarding school in Isfana town also suffered from this disaster. The mudslide flooded the yard areas of these objects. Rescuers of local units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are involved in order to eliminate the consequences.

In addition, according to data the ministry, the waters brought down and carried by the current 2 electro-posts to 4 km of the Aksuu-Karakamar road. This road is closed for travel and the emergency brigade work there to restore electric power supply for the residents of three villages: Aksuu, Choyunchu and Zharkystak.
