Meeting of Turk PA kicks off in Bishkek with laying of flowers at Ata-Beyit memorial complex

Bishkek, Dec. 8, 2017 /Kabar/. The 7th plenary meeting and the Council of the Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries has begun in Bishkek.

The meeting is attended by speakers and vice-speakers of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Kazakhstan. Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are honored guests. Hungary is an observer.

Members of the delegation in Bishkek attended the ceremony of laying flowers at the memorial to the victims of Urkun tragic events of 1926 at the Ata-Beyit memorial complex. In addition, the parliamentarians laid flowers at the memorial in memory of the victims of the 1930 repression.

Participants of the meeting also laid flowers to the memorial of the national writer Chingiz Aitmatov.

Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Dastan Zhumabekov and Vice Speaker Asel Koduranova are taking part in the session from Kyrgyzstan.
