Valuable income. 8 months of 2017, the budget of Kyrgyzstan received more than 10 billion soms from issuing state securities. According to data of the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan, for the period from January to August of this year, from the issue of state treasury bills (STB) and government short-term bonds (T-bills), the budget received 10.3 billion soms.

GDP is growing. The volume of gross domestic product in the period from January to August 2017 exceeded 282 billion soms. According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, this is by 6% more than in the same period last year. The indicators of Kyrgyzstan, which led to GDP increase are due to the ramification and development of the industrial sector of the country. The growth in GDP was affected by the growth in production in the industrial and construction sectors. The largest share in the structure of GDP fell to the service provision industries, which accounted for 50% of the total. The share of the industry was about 20%, agriculture - 12% and construction - about 7%.

The growth in the volume of industrial output in the period from January to August 2017 was provided by increasing the extraction of metal ores, the production of basic metals, the production of rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products, food products, refined petroleum products, clothing and providing the country with electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning.

Trade turnover. On the results of January-July 2017, the volume of foreign trade in Kyrgyzstan amounted to $ 3 billion 340 million, which is 13.4% higher than the same period of last year. According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, for the first half of 2017, the volume of exports increased by 27.1% and amounted to $ 950.5 million and the import increased by 8.7% making $ 2 billion 390.1 million.

This result was achieved due to an increase in exports of dairy products by 3.4 times, glass by 2.3 times, dried fruits by 2.3 times. At the same time, in Kyrgyzstan there was a decrease in the export of vehicles by 8%.

The increase in imports was due to an increase in imports of wood and wood products by 2.6 times, pharmaceutical products by 36.1%, knitwear by 24.7%, products made of ferrous metals by 18.7%, electric machines and equipment by 10.3%.

At the same time, the import of land vehicles decreased by 27.3%, sugar and sugar products - by 23%.

According to data of the National Statistics Committee, the volume of mutual trade with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) countries in January-June 2017 amounted to $ 1.3 billion, an increase made 14.7% compared to the figures for the previous year. At the same time, exports of goods to the EEU countries increased by 32.7%, and imports - by 9.8%.

Active population. The number of economically active population of Kyrgyzstan exceeds 2.5 million people with a total population of more than 6 million people. The National Statistics Committee states that the economically active population includes citizens over 15 years of age.

The bulk of the 2.5 million - 65% - live in rural areas. A significant part of this group - about 27% - are engaged in agriculture, about 16% - in trade, 12% in construction and about 9% in education.

The unemployment rate in Kyrgyzstan over the past five years has decreased from 8.4% in 2012 to 7.2% in 2016. At the same time, the level of employment in urban settlements is slightly lower than in rural areas (56.6% versus 57.3%), which is explained by the specificity of employment of the rural population.

Modernization of sugar plants. The modernization of the two sugar factories in Chui oblast will subsequently provide employment for more than 100,000 people. Such a number of people can be provided with work due to an increase in sugar beet processing. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund approved earlier loans to two sugar factories for a total of $ 15.5 million, of which $ 5.5 million was allocated to the Kaindy plant and $ 10 million to the restoration of the Koshoi plant in Shopokov town. The financing of these two sugar refineries will allow the employment of about 100 thousand people in the future.

Fight against counterfeit. Social and political figures, civil servants, as well as heads of the largest enterprises of the EEU member states held this week in Bishkek the 5th Forum to discuss the issues of combating counterfeit products on the territory of the economic association.

Participants of the Forum said that in order to protect the EEU market, the member countries of the union need to act together by unifying the system for identifying and suppressing counterfeit products.

The official representative of the plant, Leonid Popov, told the head of the government that in 2000-2002 the plant carried out repair and restoration works, modernized the main production and upgraded the enterprise. This allowed us to achieve effective indicators and bring production to a high level of quality of products.
