Kyrgyz and Chinese FMs discuss forthcoming visit of Jeenbekov to China

Bishkek, Apr. 25, 2018 / Kabar /. Within the framework of the official visit to China, bilateral talks between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev and Foreign Minister Wang Yi took place in Beijing on Apr. 25, 2018.

During the official talks, the foreign ministers discussed aspects of the current state and further intensification of Kyrgyz-Chinese bilateral relations of the strategic partnership.

The main topic of the meeting was the upcoming visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov to the People's Republic of China, including participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.

In addition, the ministers paid attention to the results of the last meeting of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers, agreeing that this event was one of the most important in preparing for the forthcoming SCO Summit.

Erlan Abdyldaev noted that the Kyrgyz side attaches high importance to the level of strategic partnership with China and expressed readiness of Kyrgyzstan to develop further cooperation in all areas of cooperation.

Minister Wang Yi stressed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kyrgyzstan, the bilateral partnership has been developed steadily in a stable way. The Foreign Minister of China expressed readiness to jointly continue to support the high dynamics of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations.

For his great services in strengthening bilateral relations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Abdyldaev handed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi a departmental medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic "For Strengthening International Cooperation".

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S. Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Kamilov were awarded this departmental medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
