Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Daniyar Sydykov among ambassadors of foreign countries accredited in Uzbekistan visited Syrdarya region on Friday to familiarize with the Park of Uzbek-Chinese Friendship and the activities of Peng Sheng joint venture, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Tashkent reported.

He said that, the visit to this institution allowed the diplomats to get acquainted and adopt the positive experience of practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.

The diplomats visited an exhibition of textile and industrial products, which is produced by the Uzbek-Chinese joint venture Peng Sheng and got acquainted with the activities of factories located on the territory of the enterprise. It was noted that the company's products are exported to the countries of Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan.

Peng Sheng JV was established in 2009, it covers 10 enterprises and employs about 1,500 people. The Uzbek-Chinese Friendship Park was created on the personal initiative of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and was opened in November this year.

Within the framework of the event, Ambassador Sydykov held a conversation with Khokim (head of the administration) of Syrdarya region Hofirjon Mirzaev on the state and prospects of the development of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, in particular between Syrdarya and southern regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Sydykov noted the commonality of the tradition, culture and values ​​of the Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples. "Our language, religion, history and heritage are one. We have no other way, except for the development of friendly relations," the head of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission said.

Syrdarya region is located in the central part of Uzbekistan, on the left side of Syr Darya River, which originates from the Kyrgyz river Naryn. The region is bordered by Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. The population of the region is multinational, more than 50 thousand representatives of ethnic Kyrgyz live here, according to preliminary data. Since the first days of Uzbekistan's independence, the Syrdarya Regional Kyrgyz National Cultural Center has been functioning. The ex-chairman of the center, Professor Zhanybek Abdusalomov, was awarded the order "Dustlik" of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
