Bishkek, Sept. 5, 2017 / Kabar /. A Kyrgyz-Uzbek business forum will be held in Bishkek today, the Ministry of Economy reported.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, State Committee for Investments, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as more than 20 companies will take part in it.
From the Kyrgyz side, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Economy, the business community of Kyrgyzstan will attend the forum.
The main goal of the forum is to expand interaction and strengthen partnership between Kyrgyz and Uzbek business circles, as well as to promote increasing trade turnover between the two states.
On the results of 2016, trade between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan reached about $ 170 million.
Uzbek Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Komil Rashidov recently reported that in the first half of 2017 the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan amounted to $ 110 million.
Relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, according to observers, began to be adjusted from the autumn of last year.
