Tashkent, Feb.21, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Uzbekistan Daniyar Sydykov visited the Kyrgyz school No. 33 at Parkent district of Tashkent region in Uzbekistan.
The Head of the Kyrgyz Embassy got acquainted with the educational process at school. In particular, he attended classes in Kyrgyz language and literature, as well as Russian and English classes and spoke with students in these languages.
During the conversation, the Ambassador emphasized the place and role of knowledge in the formation of personality and achieving goals of each person. At the same time, he paid special attention to the 90th anniversary of great contemporary writer Chyngyz Aitmatov and urged the school's students to actively participate in this process. Specifically, he offered to participate in campaign The World reads Aitmatov by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Head of the school Kubanychbek Jamatov said that the school was opened in 1992 and the classes are entirely conducted in Kyrgyz language. Currently around 400 students study there. More than 2 thousand ethnic Kyrgyz live in the village of Kyrgyz ayily.
Jamatov drew Sydykov's attention to some problems, specifically the shortage of professional teaching staff in primary schools, music, Kyrgyz language and Kyrgyz literature. The Head of School stressed the need to increase the list of majors allocated by Kyrgyzstan’s quotas for ethnic Kyrgyz in Uzbekistan, based on modern realities.
At the end of the event, the Ambassador donated books of literature in Kyrgyz language to the school library and left a note in the book of honorable guests of the school.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev mentioned about this school during a meeting in Tashkent with President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov in December last year. This year it is expected to establish a bust of Chyngyz Aitmatov at the school.
